Rare Hero 87 Space Shuttle Fountain Pen

The Hero Space Shuttle 87 Fountain Pen mimic the Fisher Space Pen of the 18s. However Fisher never did release any fountain pen in this shape, so Hero took over this wonderful task of transforming the shape of a space shuttle onto a fountain pen.

This space pen is made in 1982 where space travel is a curiosity event all over the world. With only a length of 10.5cm (cap closed) and thickness of 1cm, it fits easily into your trousers or wallet. If you requires, the clip can also be inserted securely and removed easily from your shirt pocket. I would prefer to use it with the cap posted to enjoy the full length it provides.

The capillary suction pump of this pen can be removed easily and fitted with any international cartridges. The circular shuttle ring on its barrels beam with light as you turn it over and over. The nib reminds you of a parker 75, where the plastic pen grip resembles so much of it.

Pen Performance

Despites it stainless steel nib (not gold) it writes beautifully with a fine wet line. With its strong metallic casing, you need not afraid of any damage done to the pen when you are on the run because its stainless steel is made to withstand heavy dropping on the ground. (Tried it twice and no damage of ding at all).

I would rate this pen 9 out of 10 for its performance and regular ink flow that guarantee a smooth writing.

If you have not tried a Chinese Made Fountain pen, this one would not disappoint you! I have only 6 of these so you have to be fast.
